How to use the printable wall art resizer

  1. Choose your artwork. Use the biggest version you have. For a 24×36 print at 300 DPI the ideal source is 7200×10800 pixels, but smaller art is upscaled and the preview tells you how sharp each size will be.
  2. Check each crop. Every ratio cuts a little off your design. Drag inside a preview to keep the important part, and untick any size you don't want to sell.
  3. Download the ZIP and upload the files to your listing. Etsy allows five digital files per listing, which is exactly the default set here.

One file covers a whole ratio because printers scale it down: a 24×36 file at 300 DPI also prints a perfect 8×12 or 4×6. That's why most printable shops sell five ratio files rather than twenty separate sizes.

Guides for each size: standard photo print sizes, 4:5, 3:4 and 2:3 aspect ratios, 8×10 vs 8.5×11, bookmark size.

Why each resized file stays under 20 MB

Etsy rejects digital files over 20 MB. A 24×36 JPG at 300 DPI can land above that with detailed artwork, so the resizer saves each file at high quality and steps the JPG quality down only as far as needed to fit. Flat, graphic art usually stays at the top quality; photo-like art may drop slightly, which isn't visible in a print.

FAQ

Is my artwork uploaded?

No. The printable wall art resizer runs inside your browser on your own computer. Nothing is sent to a server, so there's no copy of your design anywhere but your device.

Are the files really 300 DPI?

Yes. The pixel size is worked out from the print size at 300 pixels per inch, and the 300 DPI value is written into each JPG so Photoshop, print shops and buyers' print kiosks read it correctly.

Does it work on a phone?

It works, but phones limit how big an image a browser may create. If a 24×36 file fails, choose "Smaller files" or use a computer.

Is it free?

Yes, without a limit on runs, without a watermark and without an account.
