How to crop an image to 2:3

Drop the image into the tool above. It cuts the largest 2:3 area it can from the middle of the picture; drag inside the preview to move it. The download is a JPG at 300 DPI, sized for the largest print in the table and under 20 MB, so it can go straight into an Etsy listing or to a print lab.

FAQ

Is 4x6 a 2:3 ratio?

Yes. 4 ÷ 6 = 0.667, the same as 2 ÷ 3. 8×12, 12×18, 16×24, 20×30 and 24×36 are 2:3 as well.

Is 2:3 the same as 3:2?

Same shape: 2:3 is portrait, 3:2 is landscape. Cameras usually describe their sensor as 3:2.

What is 2:3 in pixels?

Any size where width ÷ height = 0.667, for example 1,000 × 1,500 for Pinterest or 7,200 × 10,800 for a 24×36 print at 300 DPI.

Can I print a 2:3 image at 8x10?

Only with a crop. 8×10 is 4:5, wider than 2:3, so about a sixth of the image's height is trimmed.
